But there is not a third book, and sadly the author passed away, s I really like the main characters, Mary and Alex, and so I could forgive the fact that in this book a lot happened while at the same time nothing happened. The Destiny continued the adventures of the brothers who are fated to help determine the future of the thrones of England and Scotland, and tells the story of Eileen Ronley, granddaughter of Charles II.
I felt like there was a lot of exposition and not a lot of character development. Character development was well done, and the story moved at a good pace. Plus, the story line could drag a little in parts. I wanted to read the second one because I wanted to know what happened and hoped that they would delve into the rebellion, etc.

I loved this book and highly recommend it. Alex was a great character but I was slightly bothered by his insecurities with Mary’s devotion. You will know what i mean when you read it. I would love to find another one ssalvaje those. Drawn into a fight he would rather not be in, Alex goes off to fight the British invasion of Scotland, and saves his men by being captured.
Best book two books I’ve read in a while! Motives are clear and dd, even the uncomfortable ones at times. Apr 24, Stevie rated it liked it. Paperbackpages. The story was very enjoyable and if I hadn’t read some of the reviews that should have been marked with spoilers but weren’t, I think the would have had more intensity and more kilgannom the intended cliff-hanger effect.
I would give this a 2. Want to Read saving…. We had to pick up and move the family multiple times under dangerous circumstances. Thoroughly enjoyed this series and was sad when it ended.
While there still was not much history as far as battles, the story line was much more developed and not as trite as the first book. I don’t know if I would’ve liked this one ed much. To view it, click here.
